Senior Business Development & Partnership

The Sr. Business Development and Partnership role is responsible for managing portfolio companies’ business development activities, significantly contributing to the development of new program partnerships.

In the simplest terms, you will be giving ideas and initiatives that help make a business better. This includes increasing revenues, growth in terms of business expansion, and increasing profitability by building strategic partnerships and making strategic business decisions.

Roles & responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Drive overall ACV portfolio partnership by planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives, researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Managing both existing pipelines and developing new business opportunities
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Identify trends and needs, building a short/medium/long-term pipeline in accordance with business goals or targets
  • Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new venture integration
  • Building relationships and setting up meetings with a select group of executives from various “tech titans” companies. Investing and nurturing the relationships to enable periodic or “on-demand” engagement with the respective companies.
  • Playing a role in engaging standalone events and panels to showcase ACV portfolio companies to enable networking opportunities for those companies.
  • Discover, capture, and report learnings from the field about the challenges and opportunities that relate to ACV & ACV portfolio companies.

Required Experience, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Interpersonal skills. Whether it is seeing new ways existing opportunities could be developed, or finding completely new routes to market, strategic thinking is essential for the role.
  • Strong analytical skills. For business development, however, this creativity must be built on the bedrock of an analytical mind.
  • Communication skills. Your role is to convince others to partner with the portfolio company you are in charge of, so presentation and communication skills will be frequently called on.
  • Negotiation skills. Communication skills will gain you a foot through the door – but having negotiation skills will ensure the door is kept open for future growth.
  • Goal-focused. You are going to need to demonstrate that you can maintain and develop relationships over long periods, yet still, have the ability to pull in quick wins to meet objectives and targets.
  • A strong commercial awareness, impeccable presentation as well as drive, determination, and that most elusive quality that is belief.
  • Project Management. Master of managing many and varied processes and project responsibilities, keeping them all moving forward and not dropping balls, all while delivering high-quality results on time.

Education

Bachelor’s degree; MBA or related advanced degree a plus.

Requirements

The candidate must meet the following requirements:

  1. 5-10+ years’ experience, previous sales or partnerships development professional experience is a plus
  2. Bachelor Degree from top tier university, Master Degree in relevant field will be considered an advantage
  3. Fluent in English
  4. Passionate in digital industry, investment, entrepreneurial
  5. Very strong work ethic, strong communicator and fast learner
  6. Excellent people skills, natural networker with strong empathy
