Xendit strengthens its Southeast Asia payments network with Philippine payment platform Dragonpay

ACV Capital-backed Xendit has strengthened its Southeast Asia payments network by integrating the Philippine payment platform Dragonpay, marking another milestone in its strategy to build a unified payments network across the region.
The integration builds on Xendit’s strategic investment in Dragonpay in 2021, combining Dragonpay’s trusted local payment network with Xendit’s payments infrastructure and technology platform. Dragonpay merchants can now leverage Xendit’s broader suite of capabilities, including more than 100 payment methods, payouts, cross-border payments, and financing solutions, while continuing to benefit from Dragonpay’s established local network in the Philippines.
From strategic investment to regional integration
The integration reflects growing demand for payment infrastructure that enables businesses to operate more seamlessly across Southeast Asia.
By combining Dragonpay’s local market expertise with Xendit’s payments infrastructure, merchants can access trusted Philippine payment methods through a single platform while supporting cross-border growth.
Founded in 2010, Dragonpay pioneered alternative digital payments in the Philippines, helping millions of Filipinos—including those without bank accounts or credit cards—participate in the digital economy. Today, the company supports 905 merchants and works with 44 partners across banks, non-bank financial institutions, e-wallets, and over-the-counter payment providers.

Connecting local leadership with regional scale
Merchants using Xendit’s platform can now access Dragonpay’s payment capabilities without requiring separate technical connections, making it easier to accept locally preferred payment methods in the Philippines while managing payments through a single platform.
Beyond payment acceptance, merchants can also leverage Xendit’s expanded capabilities—including payouts, cross-border payments, and financing—helping simplify operations as they expand across Southeast Asia. At the same time, Philippine merchants gain access to Xendit’s infrastructure, enabling them to serve customers beyond their home market.
Scaling a regional payments network
The Dragonpay integration marks another step in Xendit’s continued regional expansion.
It follows the company’s expansion into Thailand in 2024 and acquisition of Malaysia-based Payex in 2025. Today, Xendit operates across Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Hong Kong, continuing to strengthen its payments network across Southeast Asia.
